Kipas angin yang lebih berangin

The Ribbon, a loop-bladed prototype ceiling fan

Mahindra Xylo Micro-Hybrid Launches This Year

Mahindra Xylo MPV
"We plan to launch the Xylo micro-hybrid before the end of the year,"Pawan Goenka, Mahindra & Mahindra president was quoted as saying by Business Standard."A lot of work is going on at the moment and the launch of the new Reva NXR and NXG should be by Q4 of 2011."

The micro-hybrids is a fancy name for a technology which became famous in Europe and North America as start/stop. As you already know, such a system allows a vehicle to switch off the engine while in idle and restart it as soon as the accelerator is pressed.

Mahindra & Mahindra currently has, according to Goenka, about 50,000 vehicles equipped with this system on the roads. The Xylo micro-hybrid will be the third such vehicle in the lineup, after the Scorpio and he Bolero Maxitruck.

According to the latest info available, the Xylo MPV will also be seen on the streets of Europe in early 2011.

Back in May this year, Mahindra purchased a 55.2 percent equity in Reva, becoming a global player in the electric vehicle world. Reva's EV technology will be adapted for the Mahindra Maxximo minitruck.

At the Frankfurt Auto Show last year, Reva presented the NXR (NeXt Reva), an electric car powered by a lithium-ion battery which entered production in early 2010. -autoevolution.

SPY SHOTS: BMW CompactivE

Considering the pictures of the Megacity's platform, I have to think that this is the most accurate picture yet of the new BMW compact 5-door, 4-5 seater. If this is what the RWD, rear-engined electric hatch is going to look like, then in my opinion, it's going to sell quite well.-hubpages.

Spy Shots: 2011 Mercedes-Benz CLS
Mercedes-Benz has been in the news a lot recently, when introducing the CL Coupe and then with images surfacing of the CL63 and CL65 AMG models. Now, the CLS gets its turn.
First the CL, than the CLS – if you like the CL, than you’ll probably like the CLS, as the two share a lot in terms of styling. Lets check out the styling changes that are in store for Mercedes’ fashion icon.
As expected, the car in general is a lot bolder and sharper. This new look for Mercedes eschews the less defined look of current cars. The design of the CLS was previewed at the Beijing Auto Show with the CLS Shooting Break (yes we spelt that correctly, check out the post to find out why).
The new look is a good departure from the previous car, without being too radical. With a car as successful as the CLS, which originally was quite radical, revolutionary change wasn’t in the cards. However, the new car needs to differentiate itself from copycats like the Volkswagen Passat CC and, to a lesser extent, the Hyundai Sonata.
We love the side body sculpting and it looks quite good in that color red, doesn’t it? The next-generation CLS is slated for a launch this year as a 2011 model year.-carthrottle.

Leaked: First Picture Of Peugeot 508

Leaked: First Picture Of Peugeot 508 peugeot 508 first picture
This is probably the first real picture of the all-new Peugeot 508, the replacement for the 407, and you can’t help but notice it’s based on the 5 BY PEUGEOT concept car revealed at Geneva Motor Show. The 508 though, will be unveiled at the upcomingParis Motor Show. Although the 508 doesn’t look as crazy as the outgoing 407, but it’s still not what you call conservative!
Peugeot has tried to add a bit of common sense to that wild spirit, so the car looks more classy and discrete. Mercifully though there’s still some lunacy in its face which makes it very desirable. It’s far from boring!
The car will get the usual range of petrol and diesel engines, but it will also be available with a hybrid powertrain later on. Official pictures and details should become available very soon.-motorward.
