Kia released these five images today of a concept that will be unveiled at next month’s Frankfurt Motor Show. The international debut will be a showcase for the rear-wheel-drive layout — not currently found on a Kia, but underpins the Hyundai Genesis and Equus. The style and layout show a sport sedan with a hatchback that reminds us a lot of Audi’s recent A7.
The design itself takes Kia’s current hard edges and adds some curves that resemble classic Jaguar up front and modern Audi in back. Kia’s chief designer, Peter Schreyer, left Audi to join Kia in 2006. However, we’re unsure if he had any input on the A7 or if he’s just a fan.-blogs.cars.com
