TOYOTA INNOVA FACELIFT SPOTTED IN INDONESIA: WILL IT MAKE IT TO INDIA?

Toyota Innova Facelift

Kijang is the name under which the Toyota Qualis sold in the south East Asian markets and same is the case with the Inova MPV, which replaced the Qualis. Now, a facelifted Toyota Kijang, Innova in India has been spotted doing the testing rounds in Indonesia with our friends over at Wheelosphere carrying images of the same. While Toyota Kirloskar India most certainly bring the refreshed Innova to India sometime at a latter date, here is what that’s new on the facelifted Innova.
Toyota Innova Facelift
On first glance, the biggest change on the face lifted Innova/Kijang are the headlamps. The headlamps now are wraparound types and they seem to necessitate all new front panels for the Innova. The headlamps also seem to follow the sharply edged look that all Toyota cars seem to be getting in what seems to be soon emerging as a styling trait across Toyota models. The grille also seems to now have turned more curvier than before although it is a subtle touch.

The front bumper, along with the Grille also shows a curvier profile up front and new fog lamps seem to adorn it’s bottom. Moving on, the side flanks of the car are bog similar to the current model. So, no changes there. The rear, however has a few changes in the form of a new set of tail lamps along with what seems like a new bumper design. The prominent chrome strip remains and this is another little aesthetic feature that is becoming standard across Toyota models.

Beneath the hood, the Indonesian Innova is said to come with the same 2 Liter petrol engine and the 2.5 Liter turbo diesel engine. So, the facelift, it appears is a cosmetic one at best. On the interiors, Toyota might have refreshed something or the other but from the images, and the Indonesian discussion forums, we aren’t sure of any changes so far. All said, we could see the Indian Innova too getting all these facelifted elements sometime in the future. Stay glued to ICB!-indiancarsbikes.in

Maruti Ertiga said...

Toyota Innova is very good looking and impressive car but I think at the present time it will be compete with existing and upcoming MPVs,as we know that India's largest car maker is all geared up for the launching of Maruti Ertiga on 12th April 2012 in New Delhi. Ertiga is expected to fall in the price bracket of Rs. 7- Rs 9 lakh and is said to be competing neck-to-neck with the segment best selling cars Toyota Innova,Mahindra Bolero and Mahindra Xylo
