HTC Pyramid Images Leak

HTC s next Android smartphone has been spotted posing for spy shots. There is currently very little information about this phone apart from some rumors that suggest it may have an 8 megapixel camera (which somehow seems unlikely considering that the lens isn t popping out of the case as is usually with HTC s 8 megapixel camera phones) and a dual-core 1.2GHz Snapdragon processor (we assume that means the MSM8260). GSMArena also feels that it may have a qHD display with a resolution of 540 x 960 as the icons in the notifications seem smaller than those on the Desire HD display, even though both the displays seem to be 4.3-inch in size, suggesting higher pixel density and thus a higher resolution. Although that could be the case, you cannot rule out the possibility that HTC may have just resized the icons so more of them could fit in the same area.

 

What really got our attention is just how predictable HTCs designs have become. Every new phone that comes out of the company strongly resembles at least one of their previous phones. In case of the Pyramid, it looks like a combination of the Incredible S and Desire S from the front and the Mozart from the rear. They seem to be playing very safe with their designs, sticking to what they know people like. It makes us wonder how many more phones they can churn out of that same template and for how long. Motorola learned it the hard way after the RAZR that you cannot keep on recycling the same designs for your phones again and again. We hope to see some fresh designs from HTC in future.-techtree.com
