Subaru RWD Coupe Concept to make its debut at Geneva Motor Show



It has been a while since Subara announced of a RWD Coupe Concept, which is the Subaru’s version of theToyota FT-86 RWD Coupe. Both models resulted from a joint venture between the two companies where each company gets to modify its own exterior design, but the basic platform and powertrain remain the same.
This will be our first glimpse of the Subaru RWD Coupe Concept that will make its world premiere at the Geneva Motor Show. There may be also an all-wheel drive version as well, but it proves to0 costly, and Subaru plans to deliver the RWD Coupe for now.
Likewise on the Toyota FT-86 RWD Coupe, the Subaru RWD Coupe will be powered by a 2.0-liter four-cylinder boxer engine producing 175 horsepower that is similar found in the Impreza model. And it is also considering 2.5-litre turbocharged model later. The car is estimated to be around 2,700 pounds, which could push a 0-60 mph acceleration time to around 6 seconds or better.
The Subaru RWD Coupe will be priced at around $25,000 for the standard version, and $30,000 for the turbo version. The Subaru RWD Coupe will be offered in North America, Japan and Europe markets.
