Early images of the much-anticipated Pagani Huayra have been leaked before the supercar’s official debut at the 2011 Geneva Motor Show in March. Though Pagani remains tight-lipped about the details of the Huayra, the vehicle is expected to be powered by a V12 unit with twin turbos that will deliver 690 bhp, while accelerating from 0-100 km/h in merely three seconds, with a top speed of 250 mph.
The pictures initially came in the Spanish version of the Car in the February edition that reportedly confirmed the final form of the super car as well as the exotic name Huayra.
The Pagani Zonda replacement’s engine will likely have a Mercedes-Benz AMG motor exclusively created for Pagani that will route the power through the rear wheels via a seven-speed sequential gearbox. Meanwhile, the Pagani Huayra’s emissions are expected to be half that of the Pagani Zonda.
Regarding styling, the images reveal stretched dual round headlights in the front, gull wing doors, as well as a prominent rear spine that leads to four high-mounted tailpipes.
Apparently only 20 units of the Pagani Huayra are scheduled for production each year. Pricing will likely be around a whopping $1.35 million.-nitrobahn.com
