Lexus LFA is one huge surprise for all of us, mostly because Toyota's luxury division has been working for several years on a project that was often brought in the spotlights through different spyshots of various news regarding its launch moment.
Now that we all know how the LFA looks like, Lexus tries to keep the LFA an appealing novelty by releasing all kind of upgrades, some of them to be displayed at the upcoming auto shows.
The first venue to witness the introduction of such a LFA is the 2011 North American International Auto Show that will open its doors to the press on Monday. The car in the adjacent image is nothing more than an orange version of the LFA and, although we don't know for sure if there's anything else worth mentioning about it, the company confirmed via its Twitter account that it will be shown in Detroit.
Lexus LFA was officially presented in October 2009 at the Tokyo Motor Show and is priced at no less than 250,000 euros ($375,000).
The supercar is powered by a 4.8l V8 engine, developing a whopping 553 hp at 8,700 rpm and 480 Nm of torque at 6,800 rpm, 90 percent of which is available from 3,700 rpm. The engine is paired with a six-speed automated sequential gearbox, featuring four driving modes and a seven-stage shift-speed selector, allowing for 0.2 second upshift speeds.-autoevolution.com
