Chevrolet has chosen Detroit to take the wraps off the booted sedan version of its new Sonic, which we know as the Aveo in Europe. The FordFiesta-rivalling saloon, which is unlikely to come to the UK, features the same engine line-up as the US market Cruze.
Under the bonnet is a choice of 1.8-litre and turbocharged 1.4-litre petrol motors that American buyers will be able to pick from when the car goes on sale in America later this year, alongside the five-door hatch.
The hatch, which debuted at the Paris Motor Show last year, is coming to the UK in Autumn 2011. The striking five-door’s design shares the same look as the Sonic saloon from the B-pillar forwards, and is a huge improvement over the outgoing Aveo.
The UK car will go head-to-head with the Fiesta and VW Polo, and will be powered by either an 85bhp 1.2-litre or 99bhp 1.4-litre petrol, or a 1.3-litre diesel unit which comes with 74bhp or 94bhp outputs.-autoexpress.co.uk

The Chevy Aveo just appearing as a new style sedan which comes with well hatchback. I'm too glad after watching some good wallpapers.
