You can call us pleasantly surprised; that much we’re willing to admit. Not known for producing crossover vehicles, Citroen has certainly shown that just because their track record says otherwise, it doesn’t mean that they can’t prove them wrong.
The French-based automaker recently released the first official photos of the AirCross crossover. Aesthetically speaking, the AirCross is a departure to the brand’s oftentimes conservative approach, opting for a crossover that comes with a rugged, off-road look.
Based on the Citroen C3 Picasso MPV, the AirCross features a bevy of modifications including a newly-designed front and rear bumper, new grills in the front fascia, wheel arch extensions, roof rails, an aluminum trim, and bigger-than-usual alloy wheels.
Specifications behind the AirCross have yet to be revealed so in the meantime, we’re going to have to settle for these two clear-as-day photos of the crossover. We’ll be sure to update you of any further information as soon as they become available.
