track and monitor your child's iphone 2

enable restriction password
Thankfully, the iPhone isn't setup by default to track your kids like an animal tagged for research. You're not going to be able to follow a blue dot as it pulses around the map or set latitude/longitude boundaires that, should your child escape them, sounds alarms and dispatches an elite retrieval team. That said, with a little effort, you can -- in times of emergency -- leverage the GPS chip in your child's iPhone to determine the location of the phone, and presumably the location of your child. Here's how:
1) You must be signed up for Apple's MobileMe service. Yes, this is a drag, but it's the reality of the situation. It's not that MobileMe doesn't offer some perks, but it's unfortunate that you have to pay for an entire service when you might only need one feature. In any event, if you're not already signed up for MobileMe, go ahead and do so.
2) Before handing over your son or daughter's shiny new iPhone, you'll need to enable Restrictions on the iPhone and set a passcode. Tap the 'Settings' application from the iPhone's homescreen and navigate to 'Restrictions' towards the bottom of the screen. The iPhone will prompt you to set a 4-digit restrictions passcode. You'll need to enter it twice. Once this password is set, anyone attempting to access the 'Restrictions' menu will need to know the password. This will prevent your child from modifying the setting we'll be fiddling with in the next step.
3) Once inside the Restrictions settings, you'll need to toggle the 'Location Services' setting to OFF. While this might seem counterintuitive, what you're doing by switching the setting to OFF is dis-allowing the ability for Location Services to be turned off elsewhere on the phone: essentially negating the ability of your child to hide the phone's location from Apple's MobileMe service.

Now, bear in mind, your teenager can -- at any time -- simply turn the phone off. Again, as previously hinted, this whole little guide is based on the premise that you and your child have a relatively healthy relationship, and that you're not treating each other like prisoner and warden. If that's not the case, you might need to pursue more elaborate measures, or just relax, a lot.

Will massive solar storm cause blackouts on Earth?

Secret signals from distant probe - Has Voyager 2 spacecraft been hijacked by aliens?
It's like a nightmare scenario from a science fiction movie: GPS navigation knocked out, mobile phones, TV and radio unusbale and blackoNothing works anymore, and silence, darkness and chaos take over.
But the images are not part of a Hollywood vision – they are the potential result of a gigantic solar storm, according to a new report byNASA which has issued a warning.
Huge plasma flowing inside the sun’s scorching interior leads to constant shifting of the outer layers’ magnetic field.
It can in turn cause violent eruptions, known as solar storms, which eject damaging radiation and charged particles into space, and are closely connected to magnetic fields – which are hazardous for satellites and space stations.
Will the Earth soon be faced with a total blackout?
“The sun is waking up from a deep slumber, and in the next few years we expect to see much higher levels of solar activity. At the same time, our technological society has developed an unprecedented sensitivity to solar storms. The intersection of these two issues is what we're getting together to discuss,” explained Richard Fischer, head of NASA’s Heliophysics Division.
The discussion will take place in a meeting of experts in Washington. Two years ago, the National Academy of Sciences had framed the problem in a report entitled ‘Severe Space Weather Events—Societal and Economic Impacts’.
Modern society’s heavy reliance on technology was the crux of the report.
People of the 21st century depend on high-tech systems for the basics of daily life. And it is precisely these which are threatened by heightened solar activity: air travel, GPS navigation, financial services and emergency radio communications can all be knocked out by intense solar activity.
A century-class solar storm could result in 20 times more damage than the devastation caused by Hurricane Katrina in the south-eastern US in August 2005. The storm killed 1,800 people and caused damages worth $81 billion (roughly €68 billion).
But a lot of the damage can be avoided, if it is known the solar storm is coming. Satellites can be put in 'safe mode' and transformers can be disconnected, protecting the devices from destructive electrical surges.uts in the power grid, plus a worldwide collapse of supply chains.

2011 Renault Latitude Unveiled

2011 Renault Latitude Picture

Renault continues to leverage its global product portfolio, borrowing heavily from theSamsung SM5 launched earlier this year in Korea for its new Renault Latitude sedan.
The range-topping Latitude will be publicly unveiled in August at the 2010 Moscow Auto Show and will also be displayed this fall at the 2010 Paris Auto Show. Before it arrives in western European showrooms in early 2011, the car will be marketed this fall in Russia, Turkey, Australia, Mexico, the Gulf States and selected markets in Asia.
Based extensively on the SM5, the Latitude fills the gap at the top of Renault's range once occupied by the oddly shaped Vel Satis. Both the SM5 and the Latitude are based on a derivative of the Laguna platform.
Features on the Latitude include adaptive directional headlamps, LCD taillamps, triple-zone climate control, massaging driver seat, smart card and a Bose premium audio system.
