Renault continues to leverage its global product portfolio, borrowing heavily from theSamsung SM5 launched earlier this year in Korea for its new Renault Latitude sedan.
The range-topping Latitude will be publicly unveiled in August at the 2010 Moscow Auto Show and will also be displayed this fall at the 2010 Paris Auto Show. Before it arrives in western European showrooms in early 2011, the car will be marketed this fall in Russia, Turkey, Australia, Mexico, the Gulf States and selected markets in Asia.
Based extensively on the SM5, the Latitude fills the gap at the top of Renault's range once occupied by the oddly shaped Vel Satis. Both the SM5 and the Latitude are based on a derivative of the Laguna platform.
Features on the Latitude include adaptive directional headlamps, LCD taillamps, triple-zone climate control, massaging driver seat, smart card and a Bose premium audio system.
