Phablets - a cross between a phone and tablet - have typically divided gadget fans, either they’re too big, too small or not powerful enough.
A team of researchers in Canada have created a potential solution with a device that changes from a phone to a tablet and a notebook, using a set of screens and hinges.
The foldable gadget can be made smaller for texting, or larger for reading maps, and can even create a makeshift laptop with a keyboard.

Google self driving car now recognizes cyclists' hand signals

In a video released today, Google shows some fantastic visualizations to demonstrate what the car is seeing in complex traffic situations. You can watch how the car handles roadworks, level crossings, complex intersections and a range of interactions with cyclists – including recognizing their hand signals.

I use the term "phone" loosely when describing the OnePlus One, because this sucker is clearly a phablet. It's 8 percent longer, 4 percent wider, and 10 percent thicker than the Galaxy S5. I'd say the One is past that threshold where some smartphone shoppers are going to find it a little too big.
