FIRST IMAGES OF SKODA MISSION L CONCEPT(SKODA LAURETTA SEDAN) OUT IN THE OPEN!

Skoda’s sixth and latest car platform will first spawn a sedan that will share its underpinnings with the Volkswagen Vento Sedan, well for the Indian market at least. With just a week to go for this year’s Frankfurt Motor Show, Skoda has just released a bunch of images, of what it calls as the Mission L Concept.

The Mission L Concept is basically a C-segment car, that will sit beneath the likes of the Octavia/Laura internationally. The images that we’re carrying, by Skoda’s own admission are said to be quite close to the final production versions of the car.  For the Indian market, Skoda is all set to launch the Lauretta Sedan, which is a C-Segment sedan sharing the Volkswagen Polo/ Vento’s platform.
For other markets like Europe, China and Russia, the Project L concept will actually spawn a notchback version. Engine options for India are said to include both petrol and diesel engines while the launch of the Skoda Lauretta Sedan is set to take place very soon, during the Indian festive season. From the images we’re seeing, the Skoda Project L Concept looks quite gorgeous.

The Skoda Concept L has plenty of Skoda written all over it, right from the prominent front grille while looks like an expanded version of that of the Skoda Laura. The sculpted bonnet, along with the prominent grille adds a lot of flair to the front end of the car, which otherwise would have looked quite bland. The headlamps of the Project L Concept look very similar to those of  the previous generation Skoda Superb. The side profile of the concept screams Skoda with the prominent notchback  design being the stand out feature even as the nose along with the headlamp has Volkswagen Vento written all over it. Expect the notchback design to be quite toned down for the Indian market, with a conventional boot replacing the notchback on the Lauretta Sedan. If the production model indeed looks as gorgeous as the concept we’re seeing right now, Skoda for sure has one very good looking car at hand.-indiancarsbikes.inSkoda Mission L Concept
