The 2013 Infiniti IPL G Convertible — the second model in the Infiniti Performance Line — will arrive in showrooms in spring 2012, Infiniti confirmed on Saturday during Pebble Beach week.
More information, such as pricing, will be announced when the production 2013 Infiniti IPL G Convertible bows at the 2011 Los Angeles Auto Show. The Infiniti IPL G Convertible concept debuted last September at the 2010 Paris Auto Show.
Expect the new Infiniti convertible to be priced around $50,000. The base 2011 Infiniti IPL G Coupe with a six-speed manual transmission, starts at $48,825, including an $875 destination charge. The top-of-the-line IPL G Coupe with a seven-speed automatic transmission with manual-shift mode starts at $50,725, including shipping. Infiniti said in a statement that it expects the new IPL convertible to have "highly attractive price points."
The IPL G Convertible is spun off the Infiniti G37 Convertible.
Infiniti said in a statement that many of the features on the Infiniti IPL G Convertible Concept will be found on the production model. It said the concept has "a level of equipment and performance modification expected to be shared with the production IPL G Convertible."
The concept features a 348-horsepower version of Nissan's 3.7-liter V6 engine, 19-inch IPL aluminum-alloy wheels, three-piece retractable hardtop and a red leather-appointed interior with a Malbec Black exterior.-insideline.com
