Volkswagen Passat Likely To Get Coupe and Convertible Versions in 2014

The 2012 Volswagen Passat was one that grabbed much attention at the 2011 Detroit Auto Show. While the vehicle offers a lot in terms of features and convenience, the overall design gave it an impression of it being an emotionless car. However, that won’t be the case anymore.
The Passat, which has given the likes of Honda Accord, Toyota Camry and the Hyundai Sonata a serious run for their money, is likely to get more sportier body types in the form of coupe and convertible versions. These versions will be introduced in 2014, with the coupe version being slotted below the Audi A5. As is with Volkswagen’s tradition, we can hope that the two versions will provide us with a great variety of engine options in both the petrol and diesel variants.
With the launch of the coupe and convertible versions of the Passat, Volkswagen will, in most probability, get a break from being tagged the ‘car that lacks emotions.’ This image makeover should also help the carmaker in achieving one its most important goals – to become the world’s leading automaker by the year 2018.-nitrobahn.com
