London is to host a new UK Eco Motor Show this September. The show will be called EcoVelocity and will feature the latest eco-technologies and low emission cars.
The 4-day event will feature the latest and greatest green technologies from the likes Citroen, Fiat, Ford, Honda, Hyundai, Kia, Mitsubishi, Nissan, Peugeot, Renault, SEAT, Vauxhall and Volkswagen. The event is schedules to run from September 8th to September 11th at the iconic Battersea Power Station grounds where the application is waiting on final licence approval.
The show will see car makers display their latest green models, including electric, hybrid and low emission conventional cars.
Each car manufacturer will allow interested visitors to get their hands on their new technology cars by offering test drives on a specially constructed circuit. A highlight of the show for many car enthusiasts is likely to be the Green Supercar Paddock, an exhibition of green supercars such as the Citroen Survolt and Peugeot EX1 which will completely dispel the myth that being green is dull.
EcoVelocity is designed to be a fun, interactive and educational with opportunities for all of the family, including:-
The ‘SEAT young drivers’ programme for 11-16 year olds
The ‘Honda my first license’ introduction to motorcycling for young children
The What Car? catwalk parade – presenting the best eco cars in each category
The Green Supercar Paddock
The Eco-Lab – the science behind eco-motoring
Event founder and organiser Giles Brown commented: “In the absence of the British Motor Show in 2011, EcoVelocity will be the most important and definitely not to be missed motoring event of the year, showcasing the best real-world cars for real-world motorists at a single location.
“It is going to be of great interest to motorists learning what the industry has to offer them right now and in the future”.
EcoVelocity is being organised by IMIE, organisers of the British Motor Show and free paper Metro. Event partners include What Car?, Transport For London, The Mayor of London, Source London, Get On and Green Fleet.-motoren.wordpress.com
