Honda isn’t planing to just sit back and enjoy the success of the current generation Civic, which was introduced to the market back in 2005. The company is making efforts to develop the next generation of the compact, which is scheduled to debut in late 2011 or spring 2012.We like the European aura that was brought by the current Civic and so we sent our spy shooters to bring us some next Civic meat. The optical mercenaries tracked the hatch down in Germany, but the vehicle did not give up without a fight.
As you can see, the test car was prepared for the hunt, wearing extra-heavy camouflage that completely disguised up to its waistline. However, a little zoom can help us see the vehicle’s front grille, the handles of the rear doors (which also use the hidden layout of the current generation) and the vehicle’s roof line.
It seems that Honda has decided to offer an evolution of the current model in terms of design, as the vehicle looks like it doesn’t uses any radical changes when it comes to design cues.
As for the engine range, the Japanese automotive producer is planing to offer four-cylinder petrol and turbodiesel units with outputs ranging from 80 hp to somewhere above 140 hp.-autoevolution.
