2011 Kia Sportage: Mega Photo Gallery

2011 Kia Sportage

If you missed our coverage of the Sportage from the 2010 New York auto show, here's quick refresher. The Sportage is the mechanical cousin to the 2010 Hyundai Tucson, but it's sharply different inside and out. The Tucson's rounded, flared shape is visual kin to the hot-selling Sonata sedan--while the Sportage's crisp lines clearly tie it into Kia's latest efforts, like the 2011 Sorento crossover and the upcoming 2011 Optima sedan.
Under the skin, there's a big 2.4-liter four-cylinder engine with 176 horsepower, and a new all-wheel drive option that gives the Sportage good all-weather capability. A six-speed manual's standard, with a six-speed automatic available. Also standard on the Sportage: a USB port, Bluetooth connectivity, Sirius satellite radio, and all the safety gear you'd expect.
We'll be at the steering wheel today to bring you our first impressions of the Sportage. Right now, you can catch up on our preview of the 2011 Kia Sportage, then throughout the day, you can flip over to Twitter or our Live Drive page to see what we think and see as we're driving the new crossover. Later this week, we'll bring you our full review, too.-thecarconnection.
